ANDREW GAO I'm a freshman at Canyon Crest Academy and I am the team captain. I like to play the piano and cello and do hip-hop. My favorite food is steak and mashed potatoes. I like to keep things simple but I also like to try new things, such as building a robot simulation in Unity so our drivers can practice from home.
SARAH GAO I'm a 6th-grader at Solana Ranch Elementary School. I am currently in FIRST LEGO League (FLL) and FTC. I have had a year of FLL experience.
SYDNEY MOCHEL I am a freshman at Palomar College. I am an artist and a writer. Even though I have only done robotics for a year, I cannot wait to get started with this new team. I am looking into becoming a forensic scientist. I am good at calculus.
DALY GIBSON I am a freshman at Canyon Crest Academy and the team hardware manager. I am an artist, horseback rider, and pianist. Although I haven't done robotics before, I am interested in science, especially physics. A career in science is appealing to me. I'm good at thinking of how an idea might work in practice versus on paper.
CHRIS JUNG I am an 8th-grader at Carmel Valley Middle School. I play the violin and piano, and love doing taekwondo. I have taken a Java class before and I like building stuff from IKEA. I am interested in a career in the medical field or biotech. I am excited to learn more about robotics.
SOPHIE DUAN I am an 8th-grader at Mesa Verde Middle School. I like to do rhythmic gymnastics, all forms of art, math, and science. I have done Jr. FLL and FLL before, though I am new to FTC and have not done robotics before. I enjoy organizing our materials and assisting in hardware.
NICOLE GOLDMAN I am a freshman at Torrey Pines High School. Outside of school, I enjoy playing many sports. The main sport I play is basketball; I am currently on the JV team at my school. This is my first year in FTC and robotics. I joined this program so I could learn more about programming and robot design.
ASHLEY CHAMMAS I am a freshman at Torrey Pines High School. I enjoy hanging out with friends, drawing and painting, and representing TPHS in soccer and tennis. Joining this robotics team has not only taught me about programming and building a robot, but has also shown me how the team chemistry in an academic team parallels that of a sports team. In the future, a career in medicine appeals to me. I love helping people, and think science is an intriguing topic. Although I have no experience in robotics, I am excited to see where Out of Order's robot takes our team!
CHARISSA CHUNG I am a seventh grader at Carmel Valley Middle School, and I currently do rhythmic gymnastics as an extracurricular activity. I have minimal robotics experience; however, I have never participated in robotics competitions such as FTC. I enjoy a lot of hands-on activities involving engineering or science, so therefore I enjoy building the hardware. I am interested in a career regarding engineering.
